AddieCakes is a bespoke baking service that is turning Desert Mountain into Dessert Mountain. All items are made to order, from scratch with the finest ingredients by founder Addie Scavone.
Addie grew up in a family of women who cooked and baked. Her grandmother, mother and aunt were the keepers of a wonderful American culinary tradition. She was always in the kitchen watching, tasting, learning and completely enthralled with the entire process from start to finish.
Whether it was a nightly dinner or a holiday celebration, her family usually had something made from scratch for dessert. Birthdays were always celebrated with layer cakes, cookies were a serious undertaking at Christmas as they had dozens of beautiful cookies layered in boxes and they never showed up anywhere without something special that was fresh out of the oven.
When it comes to eating today, we don’t indulge on a daily basis, which is why Addie had developed recipes that refrigerate and freeze well. A brownie, bar or bundt cake served whole or crumbled, topped with store-bought ice cream and finished with a sauce is a fabulously simple solution anytime, or for a last-minute dessert for an impromptu party.
After almost 10 years in the Tulsa, Oklahoma, Williams Sonoma, Addie creates her delicious desserts from a well-stocked kitchen in Scottsdale, Arizona, overlooking the beautiful Sonoran Desert.
If you didn’t find quite what you are looking for, feel free to contact AddieCakes and share your cake or dessert ideas and we can see about turning them into a delicious creation perfect for you.
AddieCakes serves the 33 villages in Desert Mountain, Seven and Outlaw.
